Dakota has been "Adopted" to Roger & Peg in Nebraska. Dakota along with her Mommy Callie also adopted from Hooves & Paws Rescue of the Heartland now have a "Perfect Forever Home Together” – Read Dakota’s story below.

Meet Dakota - She came to Hooves & Paws Rescue of the Heartland as an (18) day old foal with her Mommy Callie. Her Owner contacted us to take several of his horses including Dakota & Callie as he could no longer care for them. Dakota was adopted out with her Mommy after she was weaned. But now her second Owner is not able to provide for her. So she will be coming back to our Rescue/Shelter and she will be looking for that perfect "Forever Home" that she longs for. She is a beautiful QH who will be 3 years old in March 2014. She is 14'2 hands at this time and is carrying a wee bit to much weight (LOL). She is halter broke, leads, current on all her shots and farrier services. If you are interested in adoption we will need an adoption agreement which can be found on our website under forms & we require a home check as with all of our animals going to new homes. **Please Note - Our Mares can "Never" be bred. We ask that they become a part of your family. Dakota's Adoption Fee, which is tax deductible is $300.00. Dakota will be headed for our Horse Trainer in the Spring if she is not adopted. Once she has (30) days training on her the adoption fee will raise to $500.00. Thank you!
