Update...Furst Has Crossed Over Rainbow's Bridge. He Was Very Loved By His Adoptive Family & All Who Met Him. Until We Meet Again Sweet Guy.
Update - Furst has been "Adopted" by his foster family. He is a very lucky boy to have such an amazing family to love him. Read his story below.
Meet Furst! Furst is a blind Rottie that came to us from St. Louis, MO. At the request of Kelly Trout with Mid America Rottweiler Rescue.
Furst has had surgery to remove one of his eyes due to the severe infection in his eyes that caused his blindness. The Vet who performed the surgery feels his other eye can stay at this time unless it becomes infected again and then we will deal with it at that time. We have also learned that the two holes on the top of his paws that are the same in size are from being burned with a cigarette. This special dog had a rough life but he has made incredible strides thanks to Kathy Johnson, Owner of K-9 Coach Learning Center in York, NE.
Furst is part of Kathy’s Family now. He has found a special buddy to love him. This is a picture of Kathy Johnson’s grandson Tommie with Furst. We want to thank Tommie for loving Furst and teaching him about love & trust! We also want to thank Kathy & her whole family who has done more for Furst than we ever thought possible. Furst is such a beautiful boy!
