Our Golden Boy

We bought Shooter to get him out of a horrible situation that he was living in. Shooter's previous Owner did not take him to the vet when his eye became infected. They put medicine that was to be used for people in his eye and covered it with a patch. They said they forgot to remove it for several months. Then, one day they pulled the patch off that they had put on his eye and his eye was worse than when they patched it. He is blind in this eye and has frequent eye infections due to this. Before coming to the Rescue he was also very thin and his hooves were in terrible shape. Shooter also has a cough when he does more than a walk. He has also had rectal cancer removed twice since arrival. He is elderly now and due to all of these issues we have made the choice to let Shooter live his life out at our facility until he passes away.
